Ableton live 10 intro reddit7/23/2023 Working on a huge project recently I almost wished I was using another DAW because it all got so tedious.ġ) Group your plugin chains to bypass them with a single click.Ģ) You can freeze and unfreeze tracks in Ableton freely at will, perhaps you mean "Flattening" tracks which is a destructive step regardless of the DAW. I love the session view workflow of Ableton generally - I can do so much so quickly - but once I start getting a lot things going on, the UI flaws really begin to show. Constantly clicking arrows and stuff to expand or collapse windows. I find myself always fighting for more screen space. It always feels like I’m doing things backwards, like if I tried to read a book right to left. What really comes to mind is the option to have the search bar/plugin bank on the right side with all track headers on the left. I’d like a bit more customizable interface. I’ve all but stopped using them in favor of just making new audio tracks when I need to work in parallel. I know there’s some max 4 live devices and there’s velocity and groove pools and stuff, but a) max devices aren’t helpful if you only have standard and b) breaking humanization features into multiple processes is just unnecessaryīeing able to route returns to something other than the master without massive delays. This is something I really miss from Reaper.Ī humanize midi feature. The ability to bypass all plugins with a single clickīeing able to freeze a track multiple times (and then unfreeze them all the way back).
